Application Process

Application Process

Here is the process from initial enquiry to internship!

1. Enquiries and / or application

Enquiries can be made by emailing Anna Burgess at:

AnnaOikosPeru@gmail.com

Applications can be made by either:

downloading application form interns PDF, filling it in by hand and sending a legible copy by email to: AnnaOikosPeru@gmail.com

Or you can email us and we will send you a WORD or Pages version of the document that can be filled in on the computer and then emailed back to us.

2. Intern expectation document sent

We will send you an interns expectations document.  This document is an effort to give you a clearer idea of what life is like here and our expectations for interns.  It is to help you make up your mind if an internship with Oikos is really something you want to do!

3. References requested

After receiving your application we will contact the references you have listed on your application form.  This is to get a wider perspective on you and to help us to place you in the best environment and ministry roles for you and to ensure you get the support you need.  It is also to ensure that there is support from others for your application.

4. Skype interview

We would love to meet future interns but that is often impossible in person.  Thankfully we are able to meet face-to-face and have an informal chat by Skype! This interview is to clarify anything you have put on your application form, to find out a bit more about your background, gifts, hopes and dreams for an internship in Peru and to give you an opportunity to ask us any questions you may still have.  Please allow an hour for this interview.

5. Final decision made

After interview the final decision will be made after discussion with the senior leadership.  Our final decision will generally be given within a week of interview.

6. Welcome!

If you are accepted to intern with us then you can begin to coordinate dates and travel plans with us and we will look forward to meet you and welcoming you into our community!
